This is a must read or even better listen! Chris Voss is a highly successful FBI Hostage Negotiator.

Turns out that you can use the same psychological techniques to negotiate better outcomes without compromising your objectives. As Chris puts it, settling for saving half of the hostages is not an option.

He uses techniques like mirroring and labeling to establish empathy with the other side. His examples of hostage negotiations and business applications reveal techniques that you can use in any negotiation. My advice – avoid entering any negotiations until you read this one!

My friend and Trusted Advisor Member, Corey Harlock, is host of a regular and impactful podcast that contains interviews with experts on an array of subjects relevant and focused on challenges and opportunities that small to mid-size businesses face.

Corey is the owner of KeyHire Solutions, a talent consulting service that helps business leaders determine the kind of talent they need to grow their businesses and then recruit and hire them.

Crafting an Effective First Time Offer was a relevation to me on how to get more client conversions from prospects. Crafting a starter project at a low cost and high value is the key to building the trust required to sign larger projects. These should never be free but establish an expectation of deliverable value.
